Wholeness Chaplaincy!
Our mission is to provide compassionate spiritual support and advocacy for individuals and families facing mental health and criminal justice challenges. Rooted in faith, we walk alongside those in need, offering hope, accompaniment, and practical help.
Founded out of a deep concern for the marginalized and overlooked, Wholeness Chaplaincy brings together clergy and volunteers committed to holistic care. Our story began with a simple desire: to be present for those who often face life’s most difficult moments alone.
What we do in Mental Health Ministry:
– Promote Suicide Prevention
– Spiritual Support
– Grief Support
– Home and Psychiatric Hospital visits
– Special Liturgies: offer a St. Dymphna Mass
We commit to regularly praying for those affected by mental health challenges.
What we do in Prison Ministry:
– We focus on crisis intervention, immediate spiritual comfort, and initial accompaniment during a time of sudden upheaval.
– Spiritual accompaniment and providing spiritual encouragement
– Walking with individuals as they transition back into society
– Helping returning citizens find housing and employment
– We advocate to help families maintain vital connections with their loved ones.
– Victim-survivor accompaniment
We promote and are part of URI, the world’s largest grassroots interfaith network.
- Our core values are compassion, respect, dignity, and collaboration. We believe in meeting every person where they are, regardless of background or belief, and fostering hope and inclusion.
- We support the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.
Get Involved: We welcome volunteers, partners, and supporters to join us in this vital work. Whether you wish to lend a helping hand, support us financially, or learn more about our ministry, please reach out.

Together, we can bring hope and healing to our communities.

Brother Eric Michel

This site came from my participation in the Association of Catholic Mental Health Ministry and How to Bring a Mental Health Ministry to Your Catholic Community. It also came from the Catholic Prison Ministries Coalition: Answering the Call to Carceral Ministry.
Prison Experiences: As a street outreach worker for the Outaouais Substance Abuse Prevention and Intervention Centre, I was invited to work with the English-speaking population of the Hull Prison (Full Body Contact) in the 90s. I worked as a CIPTO street outreach worker (Travailleur de Rue) in the Hull and Aylmer sectors from 1993 to 2000, earning my living as a bi-vocational minister.
I have been a chaplain since my graduation in the 2010-2011 session, a member of the International Federation of Christian Chaplains since 2012, and a volunteer at the National Association of Catholic Chaplains for five years, as of 2026.
This website is owned and operated by the Chaplaincy of Eric Michel Ministries International, a Third Order of Franciscans of the Eucharist (OFS) of the New Life Catholic Ministry (Ind.). Website: https://franciscanseucharist.com/. Under the Mantle of the Holy Mary and the Holy Eucharist.

I was ordained a priest on December 7, 1988, and consecrated a bishop in 2010. I am the Founder and Servant in Christ. Primate, President Bishop (elected in 2011), and Metropolitan Archbishop.

May the Lord remain with you,
in silence and in peace.
May your heart find rest in His presence,
And your path be guided gently through Mary.
In all things—
may you remain in Him,
As He remains in you.
